Ashton Craig was born in Trinidad and started playing the steel drum at age seven. 

He has perfomed at various music festivals in Trinidad and in the Panorama with the Nu-Tones Stell Orchestra over the years. 

Ashton also placed first at the Pan Music Festival in 1980 where he competed as a solo artist, judged by Havhelock Nelson from England. 

Ashton moved to the United States in 1984 and toured with the 21st Centrury Band. In 1986 he started his own 5 piece band, Pan Extasy and performed at private parties for such celebrities as Oprah Winfrey, Danny Glover and others. 

Ashton currently performs in clubs as a one-man show. Ashton is available as a soloist on the steel drums, and synth. machine. He sounds like a complete band with his pre-recorded tracks backing him up.
